Parametric microfluidic CAD

22 components — channels, serpentines, junctions, membrane valves, manifolds, droplet T-junctions, chip-to-world fittings — with magnetic port snapping and interactive channel routing. Geometry regenerates deterministically from parameters, on an integer-nanometer grid.

A solver you can check

Steady-state 0D/1D hydraulic network solve with exact rectangular-duct resistance and process-true cross-sections. Pressure, flow, velocity and Reynolds overlays; live flow playback at true branch velocities. Every assert in the validation suite is against closed-form hydraulics.

Verify

The Lab

Monte Carlo over your fab's real tolerances with an error budget; species transport for gradient designs; RC transients for valve switching; and calibration that fits the model to measured operating points from your actual chip.

The honest terms, in plain words. While your subscription runs, everything works, fully, offline. If it ends, Fluidraft switches to the free watermarked evaluation mode: every project still opens, nothing is deleted, and everything you already exported stays valid — your data is never held hostage. Renewing restores full access instantly, offline, with a new licence file. And before you pay a cent, the evaluation mode is the complete product with a watermark on exports — take as long as you need.

No countdowns, no invented scarcity, no fake reviews. Fluidraft launched in 2026 and has no testimonials yet — we won't write our own. Founding prices rise only against shipped capabilities, never against a calendar, and never for renewing subscribers.

Where the edges are

Fluidraft is scoped on purpose — we'd rather you find the edges here than after buying. The full list is a page of its own: what Fluidraft doesn't do.

It is not field CFD. The solver is network hydraulics — steady-state plus a distributed 1D transient model (pressure propagation along channels), validated against closed-form solutions. It will not simulate turbulence or two-phase break-up: droplet outputs are labeled correlations, and when a design truly needs CFD, Fluidraft exports a ready-to-mesh OpenFOAM case instead of pretending.
It is not a freeform CAD modeler. The 3D view is a true-to-fabrication 2.5D engineering visualization; it exports STL and — on a real OpenCascade B-Rep kernel — true STEP solids with process-true cross-sections. What it doesn't do is freeform solid sculpting: editing stays 2D-parametric, because planar microfluidics is 2D with depth.
It does not validate your chip for you. Manufacturability rules are indicative, and results become a validated digital twin only after you calibrate against measurements from a fabricated device — the Calibration tab exists precisely for that. Fluidraft makes no regulatory-compliance claims of any kind.

Requirements — including the honest ones

Browser demo
Any modern browser. Nothing to install, nothing uploaded. This is the full UI with the solver running client-side.
Full product
Windows, macOS or Linux with Python 3.11+ (a two-minute install: virtual environment, pip, one command to serve), or Docker. Any modern browser as the interface. No GPU required — the 3D view auto-degrades gracefully on software rendering.
Known limitations, published on purpose
There is no packaged one-click installer yet — the product currently runs from source or Docker, which suits its early technical audience; signed installers are on the roadmap. Local single-user by design: no cloud sync, no multi-user accounts. The browser demo runs a reduced rule-check engine; the Python core is canonical.
Internet
Not required — except for the optional AI assistant.
